Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Department at Texas Health Dallas. This full-time night shift role provides care in an outpatient clinic setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and treatment for adults with co-occurring behavioral health and chemical dependency needs.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care using the nursing process, assessing and planning, and participating in treatment team

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• BCLS prior to hire is required.
• BCPMHN certification upon hire required.
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or family information needs
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers
