The role emphasizes documentation, adherence to clinical guidelines, and engaging patients in therapeutic activities within a 12-hour shift framework, including day and night schedules.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university is required.
• Valid Texas RN license in good standing is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred; pass CPR course within 30 days of hire.
• SAMA certification required; complete our class within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients, including social and emotional support and supervising medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to design and implement care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient information and progress in medical records; follow physician orders.
• Administer and monitor psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Assist in intake assessments and planning nursing care and treatment options.
