Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health - Adult Intensive Unit (Males) on the night shift (7p-7:30a). This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and a competitive benefits package as part of a mission-driven organization.

You will assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and patient education, while ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process and behavioral health units.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and document care in the EMR.
• Respond to psychiatric crises using de‑escalation and intervention techniques.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide patient education.
• Implement seclusion and restraint procedures in accordance with policy when clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety, recovery, and positive clinical outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
