Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift to deliver high-quality general and psychiatric nursing care to hospitalized patients. A $15,000 sign-on bonus applies to full-time night positions, plus up to $4/hour shift differential.

The role involves direct patient care, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining safety, and comprehensive documentation. Minimum two years of behavioral health experience and a Texas RN license are required.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas RN license in good standing required.
• CPR required; BLS certification preferred, pass CPR within 30 days of hire.
• SAMA certification required and pass within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in behavioral healthcare, phone triage, tele-health, or a mix of education and experience.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients, including social and emotional support and supervising medication schedules.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine best patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit.
• Provide social support and encourage participation in groups and therapeutic activities.
• Conduct intake assessments through patient and relative interviews.
