Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Resource Specialist to remotely support behavioral health services across the system. The role collaborates with the Psychiatry & Mental Health manager and access team to improve patient throughput and access, across emergency departments and inpatient units.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 2–3 years in mental health care, with strong communication, multitasking, and team skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in relevant field
• 2-3 years of experience in mental health care field
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals for various levels of behavioral health care across multiple departments
• Monitor system-wide capacity to guide placement efforts
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams within and outside MGB
• Document and track tasks in Epic or other systems
• Assist with data collection, analysis (Excel), and reporting (PowerPoint)
• Handle central behavioral health inquiries via calls, emails, and Teams chats
• Support admissions, bed searches, and inpatient throughput as needed
• Attend department meetings and assist with other tasks
