Job summary

University Health in Kansas City seeks a BH Program Manager II to lead the Behavioral Health program, partnering with the UH Behavioral Health Director and guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, timely services.

You will monitor performance, ensure compliant operations, and advance evidence-based practices while supporting staff development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Qualified Mental Health Provider in Missouri.
• Minimum two years of behavioral health experience.
• Missouri licensure required or eligible for licensure.
• Strong communication with diverse teams and clients.
• Ongoing training and orientation as part of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily behavioral health services and program management, including potential 24/7 duties.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, funder, departmental, and program guidelines.
• Lead a diverse team and coordinate with external agencies to deliver top-notch services.
• Guide client-centered assessments aligned with clients' needs, preferences, and goals.
• Promote planning, strategy, and participatory approaches to achieve best results.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement and staff professional development.
• Ensure behavioral health services meet quality, safety, and cultural awareness standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and monitor performance improvements.
