Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls seeks an experienced leader to oversee daily operations of the behavioral health program. You will coordinate clinical, operational, and administrative teams to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and maintain relationships with community partners and external funders, while guiding strategic initiatives and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• RN license or equivalent required; active in state of practice.
• Active licenses for Social Worker, LPC, or Psychologist upon hire.
• Experience leading behavioral health programs; 2+ years preferred.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and ability to coordinate across clinical, operational and administrative teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the program.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Coordinate across clinical, operational, and administrative teams to promote quality care.
• Serve as main contact for community partners and external funders.
• Manage financials, staffing, and services; drive cost-effective clinic operations.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain staff; supervise and evaluate performances.
• Collect data, prepare reports, and analyze statistics to guide improvements.
