Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, provide health education, and collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans.

The role requires maintaining records and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include performing procedures per protocols, making appropriate referrals, and contributing to physician practice

Qualifications

Licensed to practice in the state with NP/PA credentials.
DEA registration required.
RN license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to approved protocols and standards.
Provides medical services and health education to patients and families.
Consults with physicians for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures per protocols and licensing authorities.
Interprets diagnostic information and establishes appropriate care plans with physicians.
Ensures appropriate referrals are made for patients.
Maintains patient records accurately and securely.
Upholds safety and aseptic practices in patient care.
Works with the physician practice to achieve goals.
