Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a Policy Advisor III within the Behavioral Health Administration to support rulemaking, policy research, and stakeholder engagement. You will draft regulatory language, provide technical assistance, and coordinate across state agencies to advance behavioral health initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize statutory language, and experience advising leadership on regulatory strategy. Hybrid work with in-office days is available.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant state service or equivalent experience.
• Experience drafting regulatory provisions and summaries.
• Ability to research statutes and regulations across agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate policy and rule development with multiple state departments.
• Draft Rule language and provide technical assistance for promulgation.
• Analyze statutory and regulatory changes; prepare summaries for leadership.
• Develop materials for Board packets and stakeholder presentations.
• Respond to inquiries from external partners and agencies.
