Job summary

The State of Colorado's Department of Regulatory Agencies seeks a Policy and Communications Analyst to support legislative analysis, tracking, and outreach across the Division of Professions and Occupations. You will lead sunrise/sunset policy initiatives and advise leadership on regulatory strategies.

Hybrid work arrangement with scheduled office presence and collaboration across multiple programs and task forces within DORA.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional experience performing at least two of five functions listed.
• Alternative: education + five years of experience in two of the functions.
• Preferred: experience testifying before legislative bodies and managing advisory boards.

Responsibilities

• Review bills and draft legislative summaries and forms.
• Coordinate research for sunset reviews and policy reforms.
• Facilitate division-led working groups and projects.
• Analyze statutes and policies to ensure consistency and clarity.
• Support staff duties, outreach, and public education on licensure.
