Job summary

Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Director of Behavioral Health Operations. The role shapes the future of Behavioral Health programs, translating strategy into actionable plans, building teams, and creating an environment where staff are empowered and clients experience dignity and recovery.

The ideal candidate combines operational expertise with emotional intelligence to strengthen processes, develop people, and implement organizational change in a 24‑hour

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in behavioral health or 24‑hour operating environment.
• Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to translate strategy into action and to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic operational leadership for Behavioral Health programs, ensuring daily operations support priorities, treatment philosophy, and client outcomes.
• Partner with Chief Behavioral Health Officer to implement program goals, strengthen services, and support continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPIs related to staffing, attendance, overtime, incidents, client satisfaction, engagement, environmental standards and operations.
• Ensure residential operations provide a safe, respectful, therapeutic environment that promotes dignity and recovery.
• Support regulatory readiness and compliance with CARF standards and contractual obligations.
