Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BSN required; RN candidates without BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire and complete within 3 years.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager in enhancing nursing practice and department operations.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings and huddles.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and internal policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess satisfaction and quality of care.
• Delegates care to appropriate staff according to policies.
• Assists in identifying expected outcomes for continuity of care and department operations.
• Monitors progress toward goals and shares results with the team.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and medication administration.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through regular assessment of volume and acuity.
