Job summary

Horizon Health is seeking a Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health to lead the 18-bed inpatient unit at Fort Duncan Hospital in Eagle Pass, TX. The RN will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care, while providing supervision and mentoring for the nursing staff in collaboration with clinical leadership.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and coordination with physicians and the treatment team to deliver high-quality behavioral health services to adults and seniors in

Qualifications

• Bilingual with Spanish is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5-8 years of nursing experience in behavioral health.
• Active state RN license required.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS required.
• Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and enforce staffing plan for direct reports.
• Provide leadership and direction in line with hospital guidelines.
• Support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
• Monitor nursing performance and conduct regular evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; ensure discharge plans and complete documentation.
• Audit and review performance and adherence to standards.
• Ensure quality care and maintain communication among teams.
• Perform RN duties as needed and mentor new staff.
