Horizon Health Corporation in Eagle Pass, TX is seeking a Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health to oversee the inpatient psychiatric unit with 18 beds. The role leads nursing staff, collaborates with physicians and the treatment team, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

The candidate will mentor staff, manage staffing plans, and drive quality care across the unit, reporting to Nursing Administration within Horizon Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• 5-8 years of nursing experience in behavioral health.
• Active RN license required.
• CPR, BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and enforce clinical staffing plan for direct reports.
• Provide leadership and direction per hospital guidelines and nursing goals.
• Support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
• Monitor nursing personnel performance and conduct evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; ensure discharge plans and timely documentation.
• Audit and review performance for consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain quality of care per standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain continuity among nursing teams via documentation and communication.
• Perform RN duties as needed and mentor new staff.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
