Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Behavioral Health Nurse IDD for a part-time, Monday-Friday schedule (9am-5pm, 24 hours per week). No weekends. LPN $23-$25 per hour; RN $30.77-$34.13 per hour.

The role supports clients with psychiatric symptoms within a collaborative team. Eligible candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an RN license and experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
