Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or obtain in 24 months upon hire.
• Must be currently licensed in Virginia as an RN or obtain VA license within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• De-escalation certification within 30 days of hire and annually.
• Minimum of 3 years as a RN in inpatient psychiatric department.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical nursing education in behavioral health.
• Collaborate with unit leadership and nursing staff to monitor clinical care and improve outcomes.
• Lead implementation of evidence-based practice and competency validation.
• Act as a role model, patient advocate, and change agent within the unit.
