Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking an RN Clinical Educator Nursing to support Behavioral Health units. The hybrid role combines formal education, competency development, coaching and onboarding to promote evidence-based practice and professional growth, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's or BSN with MSN enrollment, 2 years of progressive nursing experience, and BLS with Virginia RN licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or BSN with enrollment in Master's program
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in designated specialty
• 3 months of experience as a preceptor

Responsibilities

• Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess competency of new nursing staff focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
• Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for new and experienced staff.
• Prepares annual self-development plans and sets professional goals; seeks opportunities for growth.
• Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
