Job summary
Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a Nursing Excellence Coordinator to lead nursing excellence initiatives within the nursing administration team. You will drive Pathway to Excellence efforts, promote Shared Governance, oversee recruitment and retention strategies, monitor turnover, and coordinate the nursing newsletter and recognition programs.
The hybrid role requires a BSN, VA RN license, and 5+ years of nursing leadership or education experience; MSN preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
- Active RN license in Virginia.
- Minimum 5 years of RN practice or adult nursing education experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Pathway to Excellence initiatives and standards.
- Promote and implement Shared Governance across nursing teams.
- Manage nursing recruitment and retention strategies and monitor turnover.
- Oversee creation and distribution of the nursing newsletter.
- Coordinate recognition and award activities and programs.
