Job summary

Camber Mental Health, a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems, seeks a Medical Coding Specialist to ensure accurate coding for diagnoses and procedures. You will bridge clinical and billing teams to support compliant reimbursements and high-quality care for children and families.

The role requires familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding, plus experience in a hospital or behavioral health setting. On-site presence once a month and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of medical coding experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Certification options: CPC, CIC, or CPMA preferred or required.
• On-site presence required at least once monthly; hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Translate clinical data into CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure accurate coding and regulatory compliance.
• Work with Revenue Cycle Management to resolve billing issues and speed payments.
• Protect patient confidentiality across multi-department teams.
• Use EHR and HRIS tools to monitor coding trends and payer guidelines.
