Job summary

Saint Luke's Behavioral Health Plaza seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support care coordination and medication workflow in a predominantly virtual outpatient setting. You will assist psychiatrists and nurse practitioners, manage MyChart messages, and help with prior authorizations and documentation.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience in medical support or MA role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Manage high volume MyChart messages, calls, and faxes.
• Process medication refill requests via Epic and advise patients.
• Prepare and submit prior authorizations for psychiatric meds and procedures (ECT).
• Assist with FMLA, disability, school, and work documentation.
• Draft and send patient letters and forms.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Support providers by keeping clinic workflows organized and efficient.
