Job summary

Sunshine Health Facilities in Spokane Valley is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Home Care Aide for shift work. You will support individuals on their mental health journey, administer medications, follow care plans, and document thoroughly to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification or Home Care Aide license.
• Valid CPR card.
• Medication and diabetes nurse delegation certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalencies not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing service policies and performance standards.
• Administer prescribed medications during shift and document all doses.
• Follow care plans and delegation guidelines with the nurse's direction.
• Identify resident problems and report to the nurse immediately.
• Provide direct resident care and complete assignments accurately and timely.
• Review care plans daily and document concerns in PCC as needed.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their mental health journey while ensuring exceptional care and compliance standards:

1.Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to nursing service policies and procedures.

2.Responsible for assisted administration of all prescribed medication during shift.

3.Responsible for all as needed medications and follow up in one hour.

4.Follows care plan as to how medications are to be given.

5.Follows medication delegation guidelines as received by nurse delegator as needed.

6.Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to the nurse.

7.Provide direct resident care as assigned, completing assignments accurately and in a timely manner.

8.Responsible for documenting all medications and concerns for every resident under direct care.

9.Review care plan daily and performs nursing assistant tasks as outlined.

10.Receive all medications in PCC as needed.

11.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications (Certificates and Licenses

• Valid Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification or Home Care Aide license.
• Valid CPR card.
• Medication and diabetes nurse delegation certification.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or a General Education Degree

Equivalent experience is not accepted in place of required education.
