Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Missouri is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments to help determine the appropriate level of care for potential patients.

You will serve as the first point of contact for referral sources and patients, coordinate referrals and admissions, and maintain ongoing communication with families, unit staff, and the Business Office regarding financial data and insurance verification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Missouri license required or eligible.
• 2–3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric programs; intake/admissions experience preferred.
• CPR certification and ability to pass competency exam on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment to identify appropriate level of care.
• Serve as the initial contact with referrals and potential patients; coordinate referral and intake.
• Facilitate admissions and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and staff.
• Coordinate with Business Office for financial data and insurance verification; work with UR for authorization.
