Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, seeks an Intake Case Manager in Behavioral Health to provide screening, assessment, and case management for clients with substance use and behavioral health needs. The role involves triage, scheduling, and coordinating referrals to ensure timely access to services.

Qualifications include an Associates or Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, with 2+ years in Behavioral Health preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Social Work or a closely related field preferred.
• Case management and/or direct care work with persons with a substance use disorder desirable.
• Two years’ experience in Behavioral Health or related community service.
• Experience with youth and adults experiencing emotional/cognitive disabilities or mental health disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance abuse screening and assessments; case management support.
• Screen clients for services and triage for urgent care; schedule assessments for directing provider.
• Contact referred clients from multiple referral sources and manage open/closed referrals.
• Engage clients and families using therapeutic alliance; coordinate rehabilitation planning and periodic review.
