The Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide substance abuse screening, assessments, and case management. Responsibilities include screening clients for services, triaging urgent care, scheduling assessments, and coordinating referrals with medical and behavioral health teams.

Requirements include an Associates or Bachelors in Social Work or related field, two years in Behavioral Health, and strong communication;

Qualificações

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Social Work or Human Service field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Two years’ experience in Behavioral Health or similar Community Service.
• Experience with youth & adults experiencing emotional/cognitive disabilities and/or a mental health disorder preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth & adults experiencing emotional/cognitive disabilities and/or a mental health disorder, their families, and service providers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide substance abuse screening and assessments.
• Case management and/or direct care work with persons with a substance use disorder desirable.
• Screen clients for services; triage for urgent services; schedule assessments for directing provider; contact all referred clients.
