Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Receptionist for the Behavioral Health Department. You will greet patients, answer calls, and support the front desk operations while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, handling inquiries, and coordinating with clinical staff. Part-time schedule (20 hrs/week) includes weekends; benefits are provided per policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• At least one year of customer service experience in a medical/mental health office or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Answer inquiries or refer to appropriate person or department.
• Comfort patients by addressing anxieties and questions and keeping reception area orderly.
• Maintain patient records log and ensure confidentiality of information.
• Obtain and update patient personal and financial information for accounts.
• Process revenue data by recording financial information and updating records.
• Monitor and restock reception area and supplies; schedule equipment service as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and assist patients in distress.
• Support policies and procedures to maintain operations and compliance.
