Job summary

CarePlus NJ Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center (CRSC) serving adults 18+ in crisis. You will provide immediate on-site support, crisis intervention, and collaborate on recovery plans with clinical staff to foster a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1+ years of experience working with individuals with SMI and SUD.
• Valid CPR and First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Valid Driver's license that is insurable by agency's automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in intake assessment process with treatment plans, goals, and measurable objectives.
• Perform ongoing observation of consumers at the CRSC.
• Assist consumers to meet goals with multidisciplinary teams and supports.
• Coordinate transportation and assist with triage and information gathering for referrals.
• Complete documentation per regulatory standards and program requirements.
• Support therapeutic milieu through counseling, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
• Assist with community resource navigation and socialization activities.
• Support case management and inter-agency coordination for discharge planning.
• Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.
