Job summary

Pathways, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) Supervisor to deliver direct clinical services, supervise staff, and provide operational support within the Behavioral Health Urgent Care and crisis continuum.

The role blends hands-on clinical care with oversight, care coordination, quality improvement, and collaboration with community partners to ensure timely and effective behavioral health crisis services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Nursing.
• Registered Nurses must hold Psychiatric-Mental Health certification through the ANCC.
• Must be actively pursuing independent licensure and comply with supervision requirements.
• Competency in using computers, electronic devices, and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health and crisis assessments to determine levels of care.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, stabilization, safety planning, and follow-up services.
• Respond to Mobile Crisis and other crisis-service needs as assigned.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, clinical guidance, and support to BHUC staff.
• Collaborate with BHUC Medical Supervisor and teammates to address barriers to service delivery.
• Monitor clinical documentation, program performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and meetings with community partners.
• Support EmPATH follow-up services, care coordination, and warm handoffs.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and grant implementation activities.
• Coordinate services with 988, Mobile Crisis, hospitals, EMS, Community Paramedicine, law enforcement, and other providers.
