Job summary

Alexander Youth Network is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on coordinating direct care activities, implementing the NMT model, and supporting treatment planning for clients in residential and group home settings.

The position requires a high school diploma (BA/BS preferred), four years of mental health experience preferred, and a valid NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• BA/BS in a related human service field is preferred.
• Four years of experience in Mental Health is preferred.
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor direct care activities for clients in residential and group home settings.
• Ensure adherence to the NMT model for consistent and appropriate therapeutic activities, clinical interventions, staffing, and treatment planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and ensure residential facilities are well-maintained.

What You’ll Do

Your main responsibilities will include coordinating and monitoring various direct care activities for clients in residential and group home settings, ensuring adherence to the NMT model for consistent and appropriate therapeutic activities, clinical interventions, staffing, and treatment planning. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and ensuring the residential facilities are well-maintained.
