Job summary

Alexander Youth Network in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to support children in a treatment environment. The role focuses on direct care, therapeutic activities, and crisis response.

You will monitor clients, implement the agency's Model of Care, and coordinate with therapeutic and medical staff to report behaviors and ensure safety. A high school diploma is required, with a BA/BS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BA/BS in a related human service field preferred.
• Four years of experience in Mental Health is preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and address various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor a variety of direct care activities for the clients in our treatment environment.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care.
• You'll offer appropriate interventions to assist in maintaining consumer baseline behaviors.
• You will provide continuous monitoring of clients in crisis and report behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff.
• You will also participate in 1 to 1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.
