Job summary

BestSelf Behavioral Health in Buffalo, NY seeks an administrative assistant to support counseling staff within our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. You will request and organize clinical/medical records, prepare supportive documents, and assist counselors with resources as needed.

You will coordinate care between the clinical team, prescribers, and nursing staff; contact clients—especially high-risk cases—and reach out to collaterals and outside providers for information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to coordinate between multiple people/entities.
• Fluent English; bilingual skills encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating communication regarding care between clinical team, prescribers, and nursing staff.
• Monitors and contacts clients, including high-risk individuals, with no recent contact or no next appointment scheduled.
• Reaches out to collaterals and outside providers to request information.
• Assists counselors in obtaining resources for group and individual sessions.
• Obtains toxicology and lab reports for counselors.
