Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant OPS for the Northeast Regional Office to support child welfare cases with behavioral health and substance use concerns. This role emphasizes collaboration with CPIs, dependency case managers, and community providers to identify needs and coordinate care.

Responsibilities include educating staff on behavioral health disorders, facilitating access to MAT and treatment, and tracking referrals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a health or human services-related field.
• Three years of experience treating substance use disorders.
• Valid Class E Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise for identification of behavioral health needs in child welfare cases.
• Consult with CPIs and dependency case managers to connect families with treatment and recovery resources.
• Coordinate referrals and track entry into treatment for parents with behavioral health disorders.
• Collaborate with community service providers and ME to improve timely access to services.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and apply trauma-informed practices.
