Job summary

Atlantic Medical Group in Morristown, NJ is seeking a licensed behavioral health clinician to provide short-term services, including individual therapy, using the collaborative care model in Sussex and Warren counties.

You will screen for mental health and substance use disorders, establish rapport with patients, educate families, coordinate with medical providers to plan and adjust evidence-based treatments, and track progress to support positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field.
• LCSW or LPC license.
• Prior clinical or counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishes rapport with patients through active listening, empathy, positive regard, and non-judgmental communication.
• Screens, assesses, and monitors patients for mental health and substance use disorders; facilitates engagement and follow-up.
• Educates patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, relapse prevention, and self-management.
• Provides brief, evidence-based behavioral interventions such as CBT, behavioral activation, problem-solving, or motivational interviewing.
• Collaborates with medical providers and psychiatric consultants on a shared plan of care.
• Facilitates referrals to evidence-based psychosocial treatments and social services.
