Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician to provide short-term behavioral health services in Sussex and/or Warren counties, working within the collaborative care model. The role focuses on individual therapy, patient education, and collaboration with medical and psychiatric teams to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring patient safety while meeting productivity standards and contributing to program quality

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• LCSW or LPC license.
• Previous clinical or counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with patients through active listening, empathy, positive regard, and non-judgmental communication.
• Screens, assesses, and monitors patients for common mental health and substance use disorders.
• Educates patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, relapse prevention, and self-management strategies.
• Provides brief, evidence-based behavioral interventions such as behavioral activation, cognitive behavior therapy, problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or other treatments as appropriate.
• Collaborates with medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other specialty providers on a shared plan of care.

Education
