Job summary

Family Life Counseling & Psychiatric Services in Norwalk, OH is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Service provider (QMHS) to support case management for children and adolescents. The role involves assessments, ISP coordination, crisis support, and collaboration with community services to restore or enhance client functioning.

The position requires either 3+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a mental health field and state-required competencies.

Qualifications

A QMHS is an individual with at least three years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field.
QMHS have training in mental health competencies as required by the state.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting assessments at admission, discharge, or ongoing.
Assist in the coordination of the ISPs including: services identified in the ISP; assistance with accessing natural support systems in the community; and, linkages to formal community services/systems.
Symptom monitoring of clients through regular telephone contact.
Coordination and/or assistance in crisis management and stabilization as needed.
Coordinating mental health interventions that address symptoms, behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking out or maintaining education and employment.
