Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan's Behavioral Health Unit is seeking a dedicated team member to assist with patient-centered care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include performing day-to-day patient care activities, maintaining a therapeutic environment, and applying unit competencies while respecting developmental, age-specific, and cultural needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: prior experience in direct care.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to meet treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and health care regulations.
• Maintains safe, clean environment and follows infection-control policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
