Required qualifications include a high school diploma, a postsecondary certificate in psychiatric or mental health, and BLS certification;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of postsecondary certificate program in psychiatric or mental health.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Certification through the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians.
• Prior experience.

Responsabilités

• Observes patients’ behavior, listen to their concerns, and records their condition, observations and services performed.
• Leads patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
• Assists with admitting, transporting and discharging patients.
