Job summary

Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in New York City is seeking a Nurse Aide to support behavioral health patients, assisting with daily living and personal hygiene within a team-based treatment setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of NYC Health + Hospitals training in restraints and seclusion required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 60 days of appointment.
• Completion of NYC Health + Hospitals vital signs and grooming training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient’s physical condition, mental state and social behavior and report to team leader.
• Provide individual nursing care for acutely ill patients as directed.
• Take patient vital signs and enter data into the electronic medical record when directed.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, and activities of daily living for patients.
