Job summary

Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx seeks a Nurse’s Aide to support patients with daily living activities under supervision, contributing to safe, person-centered care within NYC Health + Hospitals. You will assist with vital signs, hygiene, meals, and therapeutic activities as part of a care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of NYC Health + Hospitals training in restraints and seclusion.
• Training in vital signs and grooming within 90 days of appointment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient condition and report to nurse as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Support therapeutic activities and group activities for behavioral health patients.
• Change linens and maintain cleanliness of ward and related areas.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and nourishment distribution.
• Escort patients to required locations within the health care setting.
• Take vital signs when directed and document data in the EMR.
