Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health Center in White Plains, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Behavioral Health) for per diem, all shifts. You will support patients under RN/MD supervision, provide direct care, assist with daily living activities, and maintain a therapeutic environment.

The role requires at least one year of Nurse Aide experience, high school diploma, and ACLS/BCLS with life-support training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one year of Nurse Aide experience.
ACLS, BCLS and additional Life-Support classes required.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care as part of the nursing team.
Provide direct patient care and perform Nurse Aide responsibilities as needed.
Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
Support patients with daily living activities and provide reassurance during anxiety or distress.
Monitor and record vital signs and other clinically relevant information.
Communicate observations to the multidisciplinary team to support quality patient care.
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
This position provides staffing coverage for all shifts, including weekends.
