NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals in Phoenix is seeking a Behavioral Associate to provide direct behavioral care to patients with psychiatric needs. You’ll work with physicians, nurses and other professionals to maintain a safe, patient-centered environment and support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or some college in psychology/social services preferred.
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred; 2+ years in direct care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify high risk patients and support safety plan interventions.
• Perform safety rounds and increase observation during emergencies.
• Understand patient triggers and trauma-informed care to prevent incidents.
• Participate in hand-offs, unit rounds, and team meetings as required.
• Assist with restraints assessment, application, and removal.
• Lead or co-lead discussions on anger and safety topics.
• Review incident reports to identify preventable factors for the treatment team.
• Escort patients during transfer, testing, or admission when needed.
• Provide direct physical care and one-to-one observation as assigned.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and ambulation of patients.
