Title: Behavioral Health Care Coordinator

Location: Southwestern United States (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation: Pay Range: $26.95-$38.50

Description:

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical review of behavioral health cases for medical necessity.
• Assist members over the phone with behavioral health inquiries.
• Review medical records for behavioral health cases.
• Interpret contracts related to behavioral health diagnoses.
• Utilize medical necessity criteria for various levels of behavioral health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical reviews of behavioral health cases.
• Provide telephonic assistance to members regarding behavioral health issues.
• Analyze and interpret medical records and case details.
• Apply contract terms to behavioral health diagnoses.
• Use clinical knowledge to assess medical necessity criteria.

Qualifications:

• Masters-level Behavioral Health Professional with an active, current license to practice independently.
• Clinical license to practice in the region of operations, in good standing.
• 3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting or own behavioral health practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in analytical and decision-making skills.
• Experience with PC and database systems.
• Preferred: Utilization review experience.
