Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health Services, seeks a capable professional to support psychiatric care. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, ADL assistance, and crisis intervention, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic engagement within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Experience with mental health populations and BLS certification are required, with opportunities for professional development and a strong team-oriented environment.

Qualificações

• High School or equivalent diploma.
• Experience working with the mentally ill population preferred.
• Previous hospital experience a plus.
• BLS Certification required – must be from American Heart Association.

Responsabilidades

• Utilizes crisis and/or de-escalation intervention practices with clients whose behavior requires such measures.
• Assists in the application and removal of restraints when deemed necessary and ensures safety.
• Identifies patient characteristics and environmental triggers and communicates to the interdisciplinary team.
• Performs one-to-one observation and monitoring; documents observations.
• Performs patient checks/rounds and reports observations to nursing staff.
• Communicates clinical matters to the RN or other professionals as required.
• Accurately records procedures (full vital signs, weight).
• Accurately performs EKGs.
• Safely assists with ADLs during psychiatric emergencies/RRTs.
• Interacts therapeutically with patients, family members, and staff.
• Promotes positive working relationships with peers.
