Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center provides inpatient behavioral health services and is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Assistant to support children, adolescents, and adults in a safe, therapeutic environment. The role involves crisis stabilization settings and collaboration with a care team to document and implement treatment plans.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, with CNAs, EMTs, or Paramedics preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred CNA, EMT, or Paramedic certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient behaviors and documents as per patient record.
• Provides ongoing patient interaction to support care goals.
• Assists with personal hygiene and ADLs according to acuity.
• Implements daily schedule to meet patient needs.
• Performs safety checks at minimum 15-minute intervals.
• Supervises patients during breaks and visitation.
• Maintains knowledge of admission/discharge status and treatment plans.
• Performs and documents vital signs under RN supervision.
