Job summary

Briarwood Detox in Austin, TX seeks a Billing Representative to manage the revenue cycle for residential treatment and detox services. You will scrub and submit claims, post payments, and monitor denials while ensuring timely payer communication.

The role requires 2–4 years of medical billing experience, familiarity with 837I/837P formats, UB-04, and strong knowledge of payer policies and reimbursement guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of dedicated medical billing and collections experience.
• Experience billing Residential Treatment Centers (RTC) and/or inpatient detoxification services.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and payer policies.
• Proficiency with UB-04 claim forms and electronic submissions (837I/837P).

Responsibilities

• Manage full medical billing lifecycle for RTC/detox services.
• Submit electronic claims using 837I/837P.
• Post insurance payments and 835 ERA accurately.
• Denials & Appeals management and track outcomes.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines and documentation timelines.
