Best Point Education & Behavioral Health in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Full-Time Billing Specialist to manage key billing functions, investigate insurance claim issues, resolve denials, post payments, and reconcile accounts. You will work with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Intake, clinical, and school-based teams to support access to behavioral health services.

This in-person role requires 3+ years in healthcare billing, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, healthcare administration, medical billing, business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, healthcare revenue cycle, behavioral health billing, Medicaid/Medicare or third-party insurance preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel; data entry, reporting, and reconciliation experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for discussing billing and finances with clients and families.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Verify Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance eligibility.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and families on insurance coverage, billing statements, payment estimates, and financial assistance.
• Identify coverage gaps, coordination-of-benefits issues, and authorization needs affecting care or reimbursement.
• Update insurance, demographics, authorization, and billing information in Credible EHR.
• Assist clients in finding financial aid resources, vouchers, scholarships, and grants.
• Coordinate with internal teams to address coverage changes and support continuity of care.
• Review billing cycles and submit primary and secondary claims for services.
• Research and correct claim errors using Credible, clearinghouses, and payer platforms.
• Post insurance and client payments and reconcile accounts.
