Job summary

Health Solutions West in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Behavioral Health Billing Manager to oversee daily billing operations across multiple divisions. You will lead teams, ensure timely submissions, and maintain compliance with Colorado Medicaid, RAEs, and payer rules.

The role requires strong knowledge of behavioral health coding, documentation requirements, EHR billing configuration, and staff development. Hybrid in-office/remote setup with travel between divisions as needed; US work

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health billing and revenue cycle operations, including staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health coding, documentation requirements, and payer-specific billing rules for Colorado Medicaid and RAEs, Medicare, commercial insurance, BHASO/BHA funding, and self-pay.
• Experience with EHR billing configuration, claim troubleshooting, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily behavioral health billing operations across divisions and establish consistent standards.
• Supervise staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations; participate in hiring and onboarding.
• Balance workloads, monitor queues, ensure timely claim submission, appeals, and resolution of balances.
• Serve as the operational resource for coding and payer-specific billing requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of EHR billing workflows and coordinate with IT for corrections.
