Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, Texas, seeks a Behavioral Health Associate I to work onsite, monitor client behaviors, and support the treatment team. Responsibilities include supervising clients, de-escalation, data recording, and assisting with crisis response and transport coordination as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least six months in this population; CPR and de-escalation training are required or provided on hire.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the wellbeing of clients and provide a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Maintain constant awareness and supervision of clients.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision per guidelines.
• Interact with clients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to supervisor.
• Encourage attendance at group therapy and client participation in activities.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups on social skills, coping skills and independent living skills.
• Take and record vital signs properly and communicate significant changes.
• Charts in client records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques to manage client emotions and participation in treatment.
