This on-site position involves safety checks, data recording, group activities, and collaboration with staff to create a structured, therapeutic environment. CPR and de-escalation training are required, with on-the-job training offered.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience with the target population preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.
• First aid may be required depending on state or facility requirements.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conducts safety checks and ensures supervision intervals.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages valuables.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and reports to supervisor.
• Encourages attendance at group therapy and promotes participation in activities.
• Facilitates client educational groups on social skills and independent living.
• Records vital signs and communicates changes to the charge nurse.
• Charts in client records timely and accurately.
• Applies de-escalation techniques to manage emotions and participation.
• Assists with incident reports and transfers as needed.
• Orients clients to activities and programs.
• Organizes and sets up equipment for activities.
