Job summary

St. Joseph Institute for Addiction is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to join our on-site team in Pennsylvania. The role involves monitoring client behavior, providing direct supervision, and assisting with therapeutic activities to support treatment goals.

The position requires a high school diploma with preferred experience in psychiatric settings, CPR and de-escalation training. The individual will report to the shift supervisor and contribute to a safe, structured care environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and/or dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and provide a supportive, structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor clients throughout the shift.
• Produce timely, accurate charting and incident reporting as needed.
• Assist with transportation and activity coordination.
• Respond to crises and medical emergencies in accordance with protocols.
