Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school (required by state regulations).
• Current clinical, Social Work or RN license as required by state regulations.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to requests for services, including initial response, assessment and referral process, designation of level of care, admission into services, and follow-up activity.
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Maintains preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes pre-certification with insurance companies.
• Possesses knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork, processes and EMTALA.
